Dr. Michael McLaren, originally from Poestenkill, NY, began his journey in the service by joining the U.S. Marine Corps after high school. Following an honorable discharge in 2003, he pursued a career in commercial diving within the oil industry while also working as a recreational dive instructor. During this time, he met his wife, a native of Abilene, TX.

His career then led him to the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, where he contributed to both the dive and life support systems departments. Driven by a passion for science and healthcare, Dr. McLaren earned his Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Albany before attending medical school at East Tennessee State University’s Quillen College of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency at Virginia Commonwealth University’s Shenandoah Family Medicine Residency program, where he served as Chief Resident and attained his certification from the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM).

After residency, Dr. McLaren and his family moved to Tiburon, CA, where he gained extensive experience working in hospitals across the state, including Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital in Hollister, Mercy Merced Medical Center, and Oak Valley Hospital in Oakdale. Following changes in his organization, he and his wife chose to return to Texas, settling in New Braunfels.

Dr. McLaren continues to serve the community through his work with the Baptist Health System, regularly practicing in the emergency departments at Resolute Baptist Hospital, Northeast Baptist Hospital, North Central Baptist Hospital, and Downtown Baptist Hospital. His experience in emergency medicine has given him a deep understanding of how serious health crises unfold—and, more importantly, how they can often be prevented.

Driven by a commitment to proactive, patient-centered care, Dr. McLaren is passionate about helping individuals take control of their health. He excels at translating complex medical science into clear, actionable strategies, empowering patients to achieve long-term wellness and lead fuller, healthier lives.

Chantell McLaren, a native Texan from Abilene, has dedicated over two decades to the medical field, blending advanced technology with compassionate patient care. As a Nuclear Medicine & Radiologic Technologist with multiple imaging certifications, she has worked in some of the nation’s top medical institutions, specializing in oncology, pediatric imaging, and fusion technology. Throughout her career, she has been driven by a passion for patient wellness and the transformative power of medicine.

Now, under the supervised direction of Dr. McLaren, Chantell has expanded her expertise into the aesthetics field, offering state-of-the-art SkinPen microneedling treatments. Her extensive background in medical imaging, precision, and patient-centered care makes her uniquely qualified to provide safe, effective, and scientifically backed cosmetic treatments

With a lifetime of experience in patient-focused medical care, Chantell is passionate about helping clients feel confident in their skin through safe and effective treatments. She looks forward to welcoming new clients and guiding them on their journey to healthier, radiant skin!
